You’ll love the historical character and the things going on at Artillery Park Heritage Site, at Parks Canada. The farm animals of New France wander among soldiers and merchants. Little ones will love creating their own coat-of-arms and arrowheads, while grownups will enjoy chatting with the glass blower and cobbler. Watch out for the cannons!
Musketeers Camp
The Musketeers are on duty every day with fencing demonstrations and performances. Then it’s your turn to swash and buckle for yourself in a fencing workshop!
Ilnu of Mashteuiatsh Camp - Pekuakamiu manikashun
Kuei! The Ilnu Nation of Mashteuiatsh will be setting up a camp in Artillery Park to bring to life this First Nation’s daily life in the time of New France. Enjoy crafts demonstrations, meat smoking, moccasin sewing, and best of all the chance to enter the shaputuan and meet and get to know the descendants of Champlain’s first hosts.
