Last day!

Oyez, oyez!

Sunday, August 7 is the last day of the 15th annual SAQ New France Festival. It's your last chance to come and enjoy all the original activities between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Don't miss the Great gathering at Place Royale SAQ, 3:30 p.m. An original lighthearted version of the traditional auction to free souls from purgatory.

At Artillery Park, two musical groups are waiting for you to dance on their traditionnal songs. From 2 p.m.: La Feraille and Bal à l'Huile.

At 4:30 p.m., follow the parade from Artillery Park to Place de Paris and join the free corn roast with all your family to celebrate the end of this 15th anniversary!

Suite au bris d'aqueduc survenu sur Honoré-Mercier, nous suggérons aux automobilistes d'emprunter le blv Langelier/côte Sallaberry ou la rue Marie-de l'Incartion pour accéder à la Haute-Ville ce soir. 15th anniversary Opening night!

Three major activities will kickoff the festivities on Wednesday August 3.

Giants Parade: At 7:00 p.m., musicians, charactersm Giants and military and First nation groups will parade from the Loews Le Concorde, and then on Grand-Allée street to finish at 8:20 p.m. at the corner of Du Fort and De Buade's streets. A free activity for all the family! Click here to see the route.

After the parade, spectators can head to Artillery Park where the first 500 to arrive will share in a giant birthday cake.

Than, Les Tireux d'Roches will play traditional music sure to get festival-goers dancing the night away! See you at the Auberge des Géants Belle Gueule stage!

*The Medallion is required to get on the Artillery Park site.

 
How to get there?

Several means of transportation are available for you to come join the celebrations. But some are more effective than others.

- Use the Public Transportation. The Navette Desjardins and the Écolobus of the Quebec City's Public Transportation Service will takes you to the different sites.

- Choose Upper Town parkings. You'll get there easily and find a lot of possibilities. Check out the SPAQ website.

- Go to the Lower Town by walk. From the Artillery Park, take the St-Jean street with animation, turn on Buade street and go down by the Côte de la Montagne. You'll ear the music and celebrations!

- Quebec City - Lévis ferry. Parkings are available on the Lévis side. Than, let's the ferry brings you close to the Place de Paris. Check out the  Société des traversiers du Québec website.

 
SAQ New France is bigger!

This year, SAQ New France Festival is bigger, with twice as much space for its many activities. Just steps from Place D'Youville, Artillery Park welcomes New France, presented by Loto-Québec.

The site will delight festival goers with its historic character and myriad things to do: Auberge des Géants Belle Gueule, with bawdy songs,Ilnu of Mashteuiatsh camp, with craft demonstrations and meat smoking, Musketeers demonstrations, costume rentals and souvenir photos, and much more!
